VAR at last? Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, has reportedly announced that the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system is coming to the CAF 2022 World Cup qualifiers play-offs.
While the news is yet to be officially confirmed or announced by FIFA nor CAF, one leading South African outlet, iDiski Times has claimed the Infantino has said it all.
“FIFA president Gianni Infantino has confirmed that VAR will be used during the African #WCQ2022 playoffs,” the publication said.
Meanwhile, Futaa will be keeping a close eye on FIFA and CAF updates for the expected official announcement.
