Africa Cup of Nations

The countdown is on for Africa’s biggest football tournament, the Africa Cup of Nations, which is set for January 2022 in Cameroon.

The tournament had been scheduled to take place between January and February 2021, but just like many sporting events, was postponed following the COVID-19 outbreak.

Preparations are ongoing, with CAF releasing the official match ball named “Toghu” after the traditional outfit that is very popular in Cameroon.

Algeria, who are in Group E alongside Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone are the defending champions following their 2019 triumph.
