FC Barcelona has confirmed that young attacker Ansu Fati suffered an injury in their 3-3 draw against Celta Vigo on Saturday.
The 19-year-old Fati was forced off in the first half in Galicia after pulling up in chasing a loose ball; the move came after he had scored earlier on as Barca raced to a 3-0 lead at the break.
Barca confirmed a hamstring muscle injury on the players following tests by the club’s medical team after the game. The news would be a blow for Barcelona who missed the services of the teenager for the majority of the last 12 months with a serious knee injury.

The club didn’t confirm the period the player will be out but it will be a blow for them with Fati having bagged four goals in the new season including the opener in their Saturday draw.
The injury has also seen the player withdrawn from the Spain squad for their 2022 World Cup qualifier doubleheader, with Espanyol star Raul de Tomas called up as his replacement.
