Attila Szalai

Fenerbahce has denied reports defender Attila Szalai is close to joining Premier League side Chelsea.

Hungary boss Marco Rossi claimed that Szalai is on the brink of signing for the Blues. In a statement released on Tuesday, Fenerbahce has revealed Chelsea has not made any contact to sign Szalai.

“The allegations regarding the transfer of our player Attila Szalai, which have been made public in the last few days, based on foreign press and social media, do not reflect the truth,” a statement from the club read.
