Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly sounded out Antonio Conte as they seek to replace Nuno Espirito at the helm.
Spurs’ poor season continued on Saturday afternoon after they lost 3-0 at home to Manchester United, further piling pressure on the Portuguese.
And according to Italian outlet Tuttomercarto, Spurs are seriously considering once again approaching the Italian, who has been out since leaving Inter Milan in the summer.
Spurs first approached Antonio Conte over the possibility of taking over the club in June, but negotiations broke down as the two parties were not ‘on the same page’.
Reports back then suggested that Conte was doubtful over the move after seeing the transfer budget he was going to be given compared to the spending power of their Premier League rivals.
Conte has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s long-term future in doubt as a result of recent poor perfomances.
