The news came as a shock on Wednesday afternoon, Sergio Aguero, ‘Legend of the game’ has played his last football match, aged 33.
The Argentine enjoyed a hugely impressive career playing for Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, before moving to Barcelona in the summer on a free transfer.
He however had to be substituted during his team’s 1-1 draw with Alaves in October after receiving medical assistance on the pitch to treat chest pains and dizziness.
Doctors have tried to look into his situation and whether or not he would play again, and today came the bad news when he announced, in tears, that he will never play competitive football again.
“I have decided to stop playing football.”
