Roberto Martinez is optimistic that Eden Hazard was only experiencing ‘soreness’ after being substituted in the second half of Belgium’s Nations League semi-final loss to France.

Hazard, whose Real Madrid career has been marred by fitness issues, unleashed a pass at Juventus’ Allianz Stadium and instantly felt discomfort before signaling to the dugout.
‘We’re not sure at the moment and we’ll have to check him,’ Belgium head coach Martinez told reporters at his post-match press conference.
‘I don’t know if there was any major feeling other than just soreness or just anything else.
‘We’ll check him out in the next 24 hours.’
Hazard has had a difficult time with injuries since joining Real Madrid from Chelsea in 2019, missing a total of 59 games for the Spanish giants.
This season, the 30-year-old has made eight appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions, but has only one assist in La Liga and has yet to score.
