Barcelona forward Philippe Coutinho is set to agree a move to a Premier League club by the weekend according to reports.
Coutinho is being monitored by five Premier League clubs as well as clubs based abroad. The Brazilian wants to return to the Premier League and sign for an ambitious club where he can play regularly.
Earlier reports claimed that Coutinho handed in a transfer request at Barcelona as he targets EPL return and the Brazilian would choose Arsenal instead of Newcastle United.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Aston Villa are in direct contact with Coutinho’s agent to negotiate a loan move.
The Barcelona midfielder has struggled for form and fitness at Camp Nou ever since arriving fours year ago in a deal worth £142million from Liverpool.
